As a member, you will enjoy access to our entire museum campus, including the Main Museum Building, Jake Menghini Cabin, the Odill Farmhouse, and the Joan Oberthaler Genealogy Center. Genealogy services available by appointment only. Call us at 906-563-5586.

The main museum building houses rotating exhibits every season, community history displays, and a wide collection of artifacts that tell a story. Visitors can explore local industries, family histories, and cultural traditions that shaped the area. It's the perfect starting point for learning about our community's past and the people who built it.
Jake's Cabin
Jake's Cabin
August "Jake" Menghini's log cabin was moved to its present location in 2018. The cabin was originally located on Jake's property located at 807 Chestnut Street, Norway, Michigan. The structure was built in 1874 on the Holmes' Sturgeon River Farm, off the old road from Waucedah to the North Dickinson iron workings. Read more.

Odill Farmhouse
Built in the 1900s. Learn about local business man Anton Odill and his family by visiting the museum or looking up the records in the genealogy center.

Mindy is needing four to five volunteers to begin planning a "9/11", 25th anniversary event and display for 2026. If you or somebody you known from our community (Norway / Vulcan / Hermansville / Menominee Range) has served in Desert Storm, Iraq or Afghanistan, please have them email Mindy at mindythorn@yahoo.com.
This is another great opportunity for our youth as their parents and even grandparents to share stories. Let's capture them now!
